Movie Review: Munich

Ok, I wouldn't normally do a movie review, but movies supposedly that are based in fact that are grossly inaccurate or biased really tick me off. Munich. I read some of the reviews for Munich before I rented it such as Spielberg "betrayed his heritage" and was "sympathetic with the terrorists". I was shocked to see that it was the most pro-Israeli movie I have ever seen. He barely touched on the details of the actual events of the 72 Olympics, and the details of the kidnapping and murder of the 11 Israeli athletes. Spielberg did however, go into great detail on the actions Mossad assassins. Throughout the movie Spielberg portayed the Mossad members as brave and loyal countymen, while he tends to de-humanize the Palestinian terrorists as scared, bumbling heathens. Spielberg failed to point out that 2 Mossad agents assassinated a man in Norway that had no ties to Black September whatsoever, and that the PLO later captured the two Mossad agents. The two agents spilled the beans on the "revenge plot" and the workings of the Mossad; virtually halting the agency for years. If this whole movie had been done from a Palestinian perspective, Spielberg would have been accused of inciting violence. Instead, the movie leads me to conclude; Arab terrorist bad, Jewish assassin good. The only thing that Spielberg got right was that in the Israeli / Palestinian conflict the spilling of blood will continue to be answered by the spilling of more blood.
